Two authors at the helm of Writers Unite to Fight Cancer march forward into war: Margaret L. Turley, WUFC Administrator and co-founder and Lisa Finder WUFC Fiscal Agent and founder of White Lions Foundation. They lead a platoon of thirty-three writing soldiers against their common enemy – cancer. Together they raise money for cancer research. The next battle is February 2nd, 2012 from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm at the Arizona Biltmore in the Grand Ball Room. Join the fight. Empower yourself with knowledge, hope and courage. 100% of the net proceeds from the WUFC Arizona Centennial Cancer Research Fundraiser will benefit two Arizona-based Cancer Research Programs:
1.) Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, collaboratively with Arizona State University under the direction of Robert Waters PhD.
2.) The University of Arizona Cancer Center natural product research program directed byDr. Leslie Gunatilaka.
Lisa and Margaret invited Daniel Rubin ND, FABNO to be the Keynote Speaker. Arizona Senator Jerry Lewis has also agreed to be a guest speaker. CTCA offered to send Shauna Birdsall, ND, FABNO – naturopathic oncologist and Sharon Day, RD – nutritionist. Jude LaCava, Fox 10 News Sports Anchor will serve as the Emcee for the 1st half of the program. Francis Battaglia, president of KFNX News Talk Radio 1100 will cover the 2nd half.
