		<description>Hello,
I would love to be a part of this event! I am a native Phoenician who battled and beat breast cancer in 2009! I wrote the book Live and Give: Facebooking My Way Through Breast Cancer. I also started a non-profit The Live and Give Foundation, Inc. better known by our campaign, &quot;Don&#039;t be a Chump! Check for a Lump!&quot; We are motivating women to perform breast self exams and to have mammograms performed. We also operate our Wig Out program that provides free custom wigs to breast cancer patients.

Regarding my book, I decided to self-publish and have been working hard to promote it. I have just recently been placed in the John C. Lincoln Breast Health Center Library and the Cancer Treatment Centers of America library and in their gift shop. It is available on amazon.com. I was also invited to Facebook headquarters to share my journey with Mark Zuckerberg and his staff.

My book, Live and Give is a story about breast cancer, but also so much more. It is really a book about true love, a mother’s love, and friendship . . . a story about life and findng your blessings no matter what God has dealt you. As I Facebooked my way through breast cancer, I discovered many of my life’s lessons, which I share. I witnessed how genuinely beautiful and caring people are, I relived seventeen years of true love with my husband and I poured out my endearing love for my babies. Ultimately, through my pondering, I did find my meaning in this wonderful life . . . To live and give.

I have a strong commitment to fighting cancer and helping others who are fighting it. My testimony in people and their generosity and compassion is heart warming to all. My journey is an inspiration.

The Live and Give book website is www.liveandgive.net
The Live and Give Foundation, Inc. Nonprofit website is: www.checkforalump.com

I would be honored to be a part of this in any way. Please feel free to contact me.

<description>Thanks for the post and for the lovely commentary on the book. It&#039;s been a long project and a wonderful personal journey. I really appreciate all the historical links attached to this post. Teaching a new generation is the critical goal.
